Penza, 26 October 2011. PenzaNews. Famous viola player and conductor Yury Bashmet and a group “Soloists of Moscow” will visit Penza as a part of All-Russia festival of classical music on Saturday, October, 29th.

During the press conference at the press center of the news agency "PenzaNews" on Wednesday, on October, 26th the director of festival, Center of Russian choral and vocal culture Michael Kokorin said: “Yury Bashmet will take part in festival as the actor and the chairman of organizing committee. For us it is very honourable that such action will be held as a part of celebrating of the 350th anniversary of Penza”.

The master classes on violin, violoncellos and piano will be held by the leaders of “Soloists of Moscow” at music school №1. A meeting with the national actor of the USSR Yury Bashmet and a concert at Penza Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsk will be also organized during the festival.

During the press conference Tatyana Dyomin, the director of the Penza music school №1 said: “on September, 22nd there was an audition of young musicians, best of them and pupils of some music schools of Saransk, Saratov and Tambov will take part in the meeting with Yury Bashmet.

According to Michael Kokorin, all schoolboys who will visit on master classes will get memorable diplomas with a Yury Bashmet’s signature and free tickets for a concert in Drama Theater.

Michael Kokorin said: “I am sure that the young musicians, who will meet such prominent masters of classical music, will not leave the classes and will become professional musicians in future”.
