Penza, 2 November 2011. PenzaNews. All-Russia festival-competition of national dance “Dance, the Volga region!” will take place in Penza from November, 5th till November, 7th. Collectives from Penza, Perm, Astrakhan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Saratov, Kaluga and Tula will participate in it.

According to the press-service of the department of culture of Penza, Penza folk group “Monogram” will open the festival on November, 5th. Then competitive performances will begin.

The press-service said: “On November, 6th a round table and master classes for the leaders of the groups and concerts in Bessonovsky and Mokshansky areas are planned. On November, 7th the rewarding ceremony and gala concert of the winners will take place at the Penza regional Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky”.

Festival-competition of folk dance “Dance, the Volga region!” and the performance “Dolls” directed by the national actor of Russia Valery Beljakovich which will open the 219th theatrical seasons of the Penza regional drama theater are included in the schedule of actions of the project “Cultural Olympic Games “Sochi – 2014” which is the unique project representing the best cultural actions of the country.
