According to Tatyana Naidyonova, the director of the Poimsky historical-architectural museum old believers of the village support this idea enthusiastically.

Tatyana Naidyonova explained: “Earlier there were three old believe communities in the village. There were no more than 15 persons in each of them. This year two priors have died, therefore actually there was one community”.

As she said, it is planned to begin recovery work next spring.

She said: “Cleaning works will be started in spring and fund raising for building the temple will start, it will not be restored completely but at leas it will be saved”.

She doubted that the temple of Common Faith of the Assumption of Divine Mother will work as for its full restoration needs considerable means.

The head of local museum said: “All recovery work will take much time. For example, orthodox Nikolsky temple in Poime had been restored for 15 years. All works were carried out at the expense of means offered by the residents of village and sponsors”.

In end of the conversation Tatyana Naidyonova underlined that restoration of the old believe temple in Poim has an important cultural value not only for village, but also for all region as the temple of Common Faith of the Assumption of Divine Mother is an architectural complex with rich history.
