Exhibition devoted to centenary of Lopushinsky’s steam engine to take place in Penza

Penza, 12 January 2012. PenzaNews. A new exhibition of historical photographs and railroad exhibits, also featuring a video presentation, is now prepared by the Railroad Transport Museum of Penza section of the Kuibyshev railroad.

As the press secretary of Penza section of the Kuibyshev railroad Alevtina Goldinova told news agency PenzaNews, the exposition will mark the centenary of the legendary series E steam engine by Russian constructor Vaclav Lopushinsky which is to be celebrated in 2012.

“The exhibition will also include a display of steam engine models, among which the work of Director of the Museum Alexander Sachkov called “War echelon with series E steam engine passes through Penza-1 rail station toward Vyazma-Rzhev. September 1941” occupies a special place,” noted the railroad’s representative.

Alevtina Goldinova added that the exhibition would become a permanent part of the Museum’s exposition.
