Yuri Bashmet’s video seminar in Penza postponed

Penza, 6 February 2012. PenzaNews. A master class on alto to be organized by Art Director and Chief Conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra “New Russia” and chamber ensemble “Moscow Soloists” Yuri Bashmet and scheduled to be telecast via video link at children’s music school No. 1 of Penza this coming Tuesday has been postponed to Wednesday, February 8.

“The video lesson will be organized within the framework of the 5th International Festival of Arts of Yuri Bashmet which will take place in Sochi,” the spokesperson of the children’s music school noted.

Israeli violinist Maxim Vengerov and art director of youth opera program of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater Dmitry Vdovin will also hold master classes.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, OJSC “Rostelecom” will provide multichannel videoconferencing which will link the chamber and organ music hall of Sochi and the concert halls in four cities of Russia - Yaroslavl, Penza, Novokuybyshevsk and Perm – using special videoconferencing equipment. The company acts as the telecommunications partners of the 5th International Winter Festival of Arts in Sochi whose art director is the world famous altoist Yuri Bashmet.
