Penza, 23 March 2012. PenzaNews. The second international festival "Jazz May – 2012" will take place in Penza from May 16 to May 19.

As the director of the Penza regional philharmonic society Alexey Lvov-Belov reported that year action would expand the musical geography and would get new status.

"Dominik Bukowski from Poland, the Austrian group "Folksmilch", "Akademik Bend" under Anatoly Kroll, pianist Ivan Farmakovsky, Slava Hanov's ensemble and also Yuliana Rogachyova and other musicians representatives of world jazz confirmed their participation in the festival," noted Alexey Lvov-Belov.

He emphasized that organizers intend to enlarge festival audience to involve tourists from other cities and create a new point on a music map of Russia.

"The program of the festival will be expanded due to adjacent art-spaces, such as lectures on history of the jazz, master classes of musicians and photographers, thematic video installations and photo-exhibitions. Famous jazz critics Vladimir Feyertag and Kirill Moshkov, photographers Pavel Korbut and Gulnara Khamatova will become participants of the festival," the head of the philharmonic society reported.
