Issa, 3 April 2012. PenzaNews. Pupils of fine art studio the “Palette” located in child youthful center in Issa of the Penza region, started to master iconography.

The new head of children's association, a graduate of Tobolsk Theological Seminary Maria Bragina develops this art.

According to her, pupils will learn technology of drawing icons and symbolism of images, specifics of work with traditional materials and also basic of restoration work.

“An icon is a special art form and a window to the inner world. To transfer sanctity of the person conditional language, icon painting canon was developed. Looking, say, at an icon of the Savior, we see god-and-man’s combining a divine and human nature the identity, such as power, wisdom, love. We see the person whom it should be,” the artist explained.

She added that young visitors of studio also will study graphics, landscape, still life, portrait and some other types of fine arts, the regional newspaper “Vpered” reports.
