Penza, 10 April 2012. PenzaNews. Audition of the collectives, willing to take part in the program of the second international festival of jazz music "Jazz May – 2012", will be held in a musical drawing room of the Penza regional philharmonic society on Tuesday, April 17.

As the representative of organizing committee of the event Oleg Rubtsov reported, the musicians who have been selected following the results of the audition, gain the right to perform on the open space in front of the philharmonic society building in one of days, preceding the main program.

He noted that the possibility of performing on additional platforms of the festival is also considered.

"The membership of the jury includes the director of the Penza regional philharmonic society Alexey Lvov-Belov and the head of a big band from Zarechny Valery Dmitriev. Participation of other musicians is not excluded. Two plays are accepted for audition and it is possible to play both standards, and own compositions," the spokesman explained.
