Band “Surganova and Orchestra” performed in Penza

Penza, 27 April 2012. PenzaNews. Former participant of “Night Snipers” band Svetlana Surganova performed in garrison Officers Club in Penza with her new band on Thursday, April 26.

The singer presented her new album “See You Soon” including such songs as “Intro,” “See You Soon,” “Praise Be To Those Who Has Been With You” and “Portuguese”. She also performed well-known songs “Spring,” “Away” and “Murakami.”

In addition, within a concert, Svetlana Surganova recited several poems of Joseph Brodsky and Marina Tsvetaeva.

“Surganova and Orchestra” is Russian rock band organized in 2003 by joining the former participant of “Night snipers” band Svetlana Surganova and “Combo North” band.

The musical genre of the band is a mixture of original rock, Latin, trip-hop and electromusic. The repertoire includes songs written by Svetlana Surganova as well as several settings on poems of classical poets: Joseph Brodsky, Nikolay Gumilev, Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva, Osip Mandelstam and Federico Garcia Lorca.
