XLI Russian festival devoted to M.Y. Lermontov began in “Tarkhany”

Penza, 7 July 2012. PenzaNews. XLI Russian festival of poetry, which this year is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Battle at Borodino, opened in the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve “Tarkhany” with the traditional ceremony of laying flowers at the grave of Mikhail Lermontov on Saturday, July 7.

The ceremony was attended by the honored artist of Russia Said Bagov, a poet, writer and translator Magomed Akhmedov, a committee member of the Federation Council of Science, Education, Culture and Information Policy Lyudmila Bokova, as well as the director of the National Center “Serednikovo” Mikhail Lermontov and other officials.

The honored guests, who came to the village Lermontovo, Belinsky district, the Penza region, were met and guided by the director of State Museum “Tarkhany,” the honored worker of Culture of Russia Tamara Melnikova.

As news agency PenzaNews reported previously, the program of events includes M.Y. Lermontov award ceremony, performance of the guests and a creative meeting with the masters of arts of Russia.
