Penza, 21 August 2012. PenzaNews. The opening ceremony of the fifth international sculpture symposium Autumn. Inspiration. Penza took place in the sculpture park Legend at the hotel complex “Chistie Prudi” in the Penza region on Monday, August 20.

In 2012, 66 sculptors and artists from 27 countries take part in this traditional event. During the month, they will be creating sculptures of metal, wood, granite or marble in accordance with the selected project and embody in their works “Harmony,” which became the theme of the fifth sculpture symposium.

The Acting Head of the Department of culture and archive of the Penza region Evgeny Shilov stressed that for the first time the symposium will be held under the auspices of UNESCO provided by the Commission for UNESCO of the Russian Federation.

“Thus, the event is not only of Russian, but of global scale,” Evgeny Shilov said.

According to the head of Penza department of culture Vera Feygina, among creating in workshops, symposium participants will teach three master classes for gifted students of art schools.
