Penza to host “Patriotic War of 1812 in engravings” exposition

Penza, 19 September 2012. PenzaNews. Opening of the exposition “Patriotic War of 1812 in engravings” will be held in the children’s art school No.1 in Penza on Thursday, September 20.
According to the press service of the regional government, the exposition comprises 62 photographic prints of engravings dated XIX – early XX centuries.
“The basis of the exhibition is “Terebenevskaya azbuka” — about 40 caricatures about the Patriotic War of 1812. Also there are photographic prints of engravings with battle scenes and portraits of Emperors Alexander I and Napoleon I, and outstanding generals of the time,” informed the press service.
Penza exposition, which is a part of the All-Russian exposition project on the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812, will be open for over a month.
