“The Festival of Sacrifice Eid al-Adha – Kurban Bayram – is one of the most important holidays for every Muslim. It is directly linked to the ideals of spiritual perfection of goodness and care for the needy. The ritual of sacrifice – Kurban – has very deep and ancient historical roots and originates from the spiritual and consanguinity forefather of all the prophets, the leader of pure monotheism Ibrahim, the Abraham of the Bible, peace be upon him,” the message says.
“Performing Kurban, it is important to recognize the dedication – a Muslim commits a sacrifice with the name of Allah and for His sake. Kurban is particularly close to the lives of Muslims engaged in farming and animal husbandry. Celebrating Kurban is the most beneficial time for them. They sell the animals for sacrifice, and use the money to buy everything they need in the household, conduct weddings, pay for children’s education. The Feast of Sacrifice contributes to the economy. The meat of the sacrificial animal is distributed to the needy. Those who could not buy meat for a long time have the opportunity to eat their fill,” the statement says.
