Penza, 3 November 2012. PenzaNews. Popular Russian rock band DDT headed by its permanent leader Yuri Shevchuk, performed its show program Otherwise (“Inache”) in Diesel-Arena in Penza on Friday, November 2.

“This concert is about you and me. About the fact that you can live differently – about Monday, which we are thinking about. On the screen I will turn into a young man who will run for life, will live it for half an hour, will suffer, ask himself questions “to be or not to be,” “what is love?” Sometimes he will break the peace, get angry and search for the meaning of life, the truth he won’t be able to find without love and freedom,” Yuri Shevchuk explained.

According to him, for each composition there will be special video which will symbolize the Soviet era or “poignant images of devastation of today’s life.”

The show Otherwise, according to Yuri Shevchuk, is devoted to thinking and optimism that is always pained, “and so after all difficulties, people get up and firmly believe that everything will be all right.”

The show lasted about an hour and a half, after which the same amount of time the musicians performed well-known hits that have become hallmark of the rock band.

During the concert, Yuri Shevchuk said that he would donate his concert honorarium for the construction of Spassky cathedral in Penza.

“Yesterday I met with Metropolitan Benjamin who said that the temple is being rebuilt in Penza, and I decided to help. Let there be a couple of stones from me, too,” the musician said.
