The audience and participants of the concert, which was held as a part of the socio-educational project “Music Lessons,” were students of music schools of the Penza region.

Dmitry Malikov performed several compositions of his own and held a workshop for young artists who, in turn, also performed their creative work.

“These workshops are meant to draw parents’ attention to the fact that children should still be sent to the music schools. And I would like to point out to the children that they should not drop out of music classes. Musical education is a very good store of cultural knowledge for a person to become spiritually wealthy,” the composer said.

During the concert, Dmitry Malikov suggested that musicians are somewhat of doctors of the soul.

“I released an album of piano music “Panacea.” This is a sort of a pill in a piano-cover. I believe that music has a healing effect, it heals emotions, relieves us from the blues. I went further, and made an arrangement with one of the pharmaceutical companies. Now the records can be purchased at pharmacies,” the pianist said.
