Penza Drama Theatre actors went on tour to Budapest

Penza, 19 December 2012. PenzaNews. The actors of Penza Drama Theater named after A. Lunacharsky went on tour to Hungary on Wednesday, December 19.

“On Thursday, December 20, the Russian-speaking population of Budapest will have a chance to attend the play “The Story of a Crime,” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Peter Stolypin, and on December 22–23 the young spectators will see New Year performances with Father Frost and Snow Maiden, and the fairy tale “Birthday of Leopold the Cat,” the head of literary dramatic department of the theater Vitaly Sokolov told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He noted that the performances would take place at the Russian Cultural Centre in Budapest, which organized the tour.

“This is the fourth tour of Penza Theater overseas. The first three were in 2011–2012, when within the international festival “Theater divertissement” in Israel they performed “Suite No. 13,” “Oscar and the Pink Lady,” and “Les Fourberies de Scapin,” the agency interlocutor reminded.
