“Here are the works by 25 craftsmen of the crafts chamber of the Penza region, which include knitted clothes, embroidered, woven of beads, and painted items. In addition, the audience has an opportunity to see mini sculptures of polymer clay, river and sea shells, rag dolls, accessories made of thick felt and panels, and items executed in quilling technique,” the chairman of the crafts chamber of the Penza region Mikhail Mikhailov told news agency “PenzaNews.”
He pointed that holding such exhibitions is necessary so that the regional craftsmen could demonstrate their skills.
“We have already exhibited our works in Moscow. I am sure that in the future there will be more of such events. For example, in May, the representatives of the crafts chamber are planning to travel to Astana,” he said.
Mikhail Mikhailov underlined that crafts are one of significant components of the brand of the Penza region, and that is why they are being developed.
“Besides it is important for people to be introduced to arts and crafts from the very childhood,” he added.
It is expected that the exhibition in Penza will be open until March 1.
