“Both artists will come with their quintets. The shtick will be that we create an international big band. Our local “Jazz Cruise” musicians and a well-known Russian trumpeter Andrei Lobanov will also be a part of the large jazz band. Elegant rhythm section will be presented by an American drummer Darrell Green, double bass Askhad Sayfulin, and other virtuosos,” he said.
Alexey Lvov-Belov underlined that on the main stage of the festival — in front of the Philharmonic — turf will be rolled out just like the last year.
“This time, we are going to invite the companies selling soft drinks and food, organize children’s playground, and provide free Wi-Fi. We are also thinking about broadcasting the event online,” he pointed out.
According to the head of Philharmonic, they will soon hold a competition in creating festival’s so-called hymn and the best design for the jazz ground.
