Penza, 24 April 2013. PenzaNews. Governor's Symphonic Choir directed by the Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Kashirsky will perform “Mass in D Major” by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak in Penza Philharmonic on Friday, April 26.

As the press secretary of Philharmonic Svetlana Zinina told news agency “PenzaNews,” the uniqueness of the concert is that originally “Mass” was written for the organ, but director Vladimir Kashirsky was presented with the handwritten note transcriptions of this work for symphonic orchestra.

She reminded that “Mass in D Major” was composed in 1892 — at the same time the composer wrote “Symphony No. 4” with Czech national music and cantatas, including Te Deum.
