“I was dismissed as the director based on Art. 278 of the Labor Code [“Additional grounds for termination of employment contract with the head of organization”] without explanation, but I continue working in my favorite band “Jazz Cruise,” I will continue making music,” he said in an interview with news agency PenzaNews on Thursday, June 13.

According to Alexei Lvov-Belov, he has nothing to be ashamed of during the three years that he has worked as the director of Penza Regional Philharmonic.

“The groundwork has begun giving results. At the moment, in my opinion, the Philharmonic is at its best,” he stressed.

He also said that the practice of changing the heads of cultural institutions every 2–3 years makes bad reputation.
