Penza, 1 July 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev recommended the head of culture and archive of the region Evgeny Shilov to keep only “marketable artists” in the new Philharmonic.

“Only marketable artists should be taken into the new building, the rest should be sent to the House of Culture named after Kirov or to “Mayak,” Vasily Bochkarev pointed out during an operational meeting on Monday, July 1.

“People coming up on the stage of Philharmonic should have bright eyes and slender legs,” the head of the region added.

Vasily Bochkarev instructed the deputy Prime Minister of the Penza region Vladimir Maltsev to take the matter under his supervision.
