Penza, 3 September 2013. PenzaNews. The presentation of updated version of album “Culture of the Penza region,” reprinted on the eve of the 350th anniversary of Penza, was held at the governor's house on Tuesday, September 3. In his welcoming speech to the participants of the event governor Vasily Bochkarev noted that looking at the publication dedicated to his native land, he fills with pride.

He stressed that this is a unique kind of album for the rest of the regions of the Russian Federation.

According to Vasily Bochkarev, the decision to update the album was well-made because Penza has changed with its reviving museums, parks and Philharmonic.

The author of the album, a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia Alexander Nazarov explained that the updated version of the album is an attempt to recreate the cultural and historical character of the region in the period from 2008 to 2013.

“The publication can be of great interest to historians, ethnographers, employees of archives and museums. Thumbing through the pages of the new album, one has an opportunity to find out more about the monuments and museums, cultural institutions, as well as “take part” in ancient and modern holidays. I am convinced that the album will be a wonderful gift for the visitors of the region, as well as its residents,” the author of the album commented.

The first album “Culture of the Penza region” by Alexander Nazarov was published in 2006. The second album contains new updated pictures. It tells about the achievements in the cultural life of the region in recent years, and includes reference information on people and events.
