Penza, 11 October 2013. PenzaNews. The new movie and concert hall, which is now being built at the intersection of Nekrasov and Suvorov Streets, will be named after the city that celebrated its 350th anniversary in 2013.

At present the sign “Movie and concert hall “Penza” is being set on the elevation of the building.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the idea to give it such name belongs to the Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev, who shared it while visiting the building site of the project in April 2013.

His opinion was that “Penza” sounds beautiful. Besides, according to him, this word is dear to every city resident, who loves the small motherland.

The total square of the movie and concert hall in Penza is more than 15.5 thousand square meters.

According to the project, the building is a four-storey complex, which includes a hall for 1 thousand 6 hundred spectators, artists’ rooms, rehearsal halls, rooms for individual lessons and four crush bars.

It is expected that the new movie and concert hall with modern sound and lighting equipment will contribute to national cinema and musical traditions promotion among Penza residents and organization of interesting leisure time for large sections of the public and region guests.
