“Night of Arts” to be held in all cultural institutions on November 3

Penza, 30 October 2013. PenzaNews. For the first time the Penza region will join the all-Russian campaign “The Night of the Arts,” which will be held on Sunday, November 3. This was reported by the deputy head of culture and archive Kirill Zastrozhny during the meeting with journalists on Wednesday, October 30.

“The campaign is dedicated to the National Unity Day. The concept of “The Night of the Arts” implies that the population of the Russian Federation will be given an opportunity to see the equality of rights of all the people and all the nations to the access to cultural values,” he said.

Kirill Zastrozhny remarked that working hours of all arts and cultural institution in the region will be extended to midnight.

“During the day they will function in the ordinary course – welcome readers, show performances, give concerts. And in the evening some informal events are planned to be held – theatricalized excursions, meetings and informal actors’ performances,” the deputy head of culture and archive of the Penza region said.

According to him, during “the Night of the Arts” the philharmonic stage will be for the first time given to youth groups for them to rehearse and give a concert.

Kirill Zastrozhny remarked that such events always attract attention of people in the region.

“The experience of conducting “The Night of Museums” proves this, when at 22.00 young people out of curiosity came to see the exhibition they would hardly want to see during the day,” he said.
