Penza, 6 November 2013. PenzaNews. The funds raised from the sale of tickets to the art exhibition of the paintings of the distinguished artist of the Russian Federation Alexey Shalakhaev and the concert of the awardee of the festival “Golden Voice of Russia” Vyacheslav Olkhovsky, which will take place in Penza regional library named after Mikhail Lermontov on Thursday, November 7, will be directed to Spassky Cathedral construction.

The press service of the regional government told news agency PenzaNews that the initiative called “Thank you” was organized by the non-commercial partnership “Community of Penza Fraternities” in collaboration with the Penza metropolia.

“Alexey Shalakhaev is Penza artist-painter. His solo exhibitions have been held in Penza, Moscow, Kostroma, Lipetsk and other cities. Some of the artist’s works are stored in the museums of Russia, Belarus and in private collections in France, Italy, the United States and Germany,” the press service said.

The regional government added that Vyacheslav Olkhovsky, who is a follower of the performing school of Muslim Magomaev, will give a solo concert and present hits of Russian and foreign music, romances and original songs.
