“Despite all rumors, the Philharmonic will be open,” he emphasized.

According to Kirill Zastrozhny, on Wednesday, December 25, there will be held a 15-20-minute concert in the organ hall.

“At 18.00, in the great hall there will be conducted a solemn ceremony to award builders, architects and all those who were involved in the creation of this beautiful building,” the deputy head of the department said.

Kirill Zastrozhny added that on Thursday at 16.30, an hour-long organ concert will start.

“From 18.00 to 20.00, a well-known singer from St. Petersburg Evgeny Yuzhin will perform on the great stage with the governor’s symphony chapel,” he said.

The deputy head of the regional department of culture and archive Kirill Zastrozhny explained that in January 2014, concerts in the organ hall are planned to be conducted every week.

“We will invite musicians. We have already gotten several interesting proposals, including one from the title organist of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, and one from the St. Petersburg Conservatoire. There are few organs in Russia, so our instrument and its capabilities will be in high demand among musicians,” Kirill Zastrozhny remarked adding that in January there also will be concerts organized on the great stage of the Philharmonic.

He also stressed that the priority will be given to the leading professional groups and teams of the region, however, nonprofessional ensembles and guest performers will also perform on the stage of the establishment.

“Our task is to make it interesting here and to attract spectators. The performance guide is being actively compiled, we are planning to introduce electronic ticketing,” the deputy head of the department of culture and archive of the Penza region said.
