Penza, 11 April 2014. PenzaNews. “A Hero of Our Time” will be staged by actors of Penza Regional Drama Theater named after A. Lunacharsky for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Lermontov, and performed in Debrecen, Hungary on Friday, April 11.

The performance is organized for our compatriots living in this city, as well as for the students of the local university studying Russian.

“On Thursday, April 10, premiere of “A Hero of Our Time” was successfully held at the Russian Cultural Center in Budapest. Before the performance, there opened a photo exposition “Lermontov: Life and Work” the material for which arrived from public funds of literary and memorial museums of the region,” the head of literary and dramatic department of Drama Theater Vitaly Sokolov told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He reminded that in Penza, the show will be presented for the students of urban schools for the first time on April 18.

“On May 10, the performance will be presented on the small stage of Drama Theater. This show will be open for any audience,” the agency interlocutor said.

“A Hero of Our Time” was staged by Andrei Shlyapin in collaboration with the literary manager of Penza Drama Theater Vitaly Sokolov.

All the parts are performed by four actors — theater's artistic director, Honored Artist of Russia Sergei Kazakov, and Albina Smelova, Anna Arzyamova and Yuri Zemlyanskiy.
