New sand sculptures to be shown on “The Legends and Myths of the Penza Land” exhibition

Penza, 6 May 2014. PenzaNews. New sand sculptures will be shown on the exhibition “The Legends and Myths of the Penza Land” which is due to open on Saturday, May 17. The solemn event is connected with the action “Night in Museum.”

“The oncoming exhibition will be an momentuous meeting with the historic facts and the unbelievable events who left their mark in people’s memory. These events will be shown as they were interpreted by the artists,” told the administration representative of the Penza state Museum of Local Lore to agency “PenzaNews.”
The exhibition is expected to open at 18:00.
The first sand sculpture exhibition based in the Penza state Museum of Local Lore took place in 2013. The 2013 exhibition was titled “Penza. The Sands of History.”
The master of sand sculptures from Russia and Belarus created the sculptures during June 4-11.
The solemn opening of the exhibition took place on June 12.
Eight sculptures dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the city of Penza were presented to the visitors.
