Penza, 14 May 2014. PenzaNews. Satoru Takada plans to create one of the largest rock gardens in traditional Japanese style in sculpture park “Legenda” during VII International Symposium “Penza – 2014” which will open on Thursday, May 15. This was announced by the director of sculpture park “Legenda” Yuri Tkachenko during a meeting with reporters.

“Japanese sculptor offered an unexpected and original idea — to build one of the largest rock gardens in traditional Japanese style on the territory of 150 x 70 meters. The garden will have a waterfall, a fountain, a house for meditation, a tea house and a rock garden itself. The representatives of the Embassy of Japan are planned to be invited for the opening ceremony of the garden. Currently, the construction site is being cleaned, and the construction pit is being prepared. We hope that by the end of this year, most of the work will be done,” he said.

It is expected that the presentation of the “Rock Garden” will be held on Monday, June 2, the press service of the government of the Penza region reprted.
