“Sculpture park “Legenda” contains the works of artists from around the world, both traditional and cutting-edge. Often, these are sculptures with sense, so we decided that the spiritual specificity of Japanese culture is most clearly represented through the rock garden and the only specialist in this matter with unquestionable authority is Satoru Takada, who is presenting his project today,” Valentina Dusavitskaya said.

She added that the landscape of the park is not quite fit for the implementation of the project and will be slightly changed.

During the presentation, Satoru Takada explained that the project is an actual garden 45 by 20 meters with five large stones, which are planned to be brought in the Penza region from the Urals, the fountain and Japanese house, where various activities will be held, including tea ceremonies.

“The philosophy of this garden is the coexistence of man and nature, self-knowledge, Zen. This garden will be a place where people can think of God, enjoy the beautiful views and meditate,” Satoru Takada said.

Along with the presentation of the project of the Japanese master, gallery “Art Penza” is housing an exhibition of small-scale sculpture, painting and photography.

“This happens for the time, and it is a part of the seventh symposium since it used to be the exhibition of sculptures only,” Valentina Dusavitskaya noted.

She reported that the authors, who presented paintings and sculptures, are all the participants of the symposium, representing 20 countries.

“The authors of the photographs are two well-known European masters: Gyorgy Gati from Hungary and Lise Dua from France, involved in the program of art residencies,” the director of the gallery explained.
