Penza literary museum developed adventure game guided tour concept

Penza, 10 December 2014. PenzaNews. Tatyana Kaimanova, employee of the Penza literary museum, has developed an adventure game guided tour creation package that allows to arrange for a new kind of excursion combining city-wide search, adventure and urban orienteering.

“The project includes an example text of an adventure game tour ‘Thomas Learmonth’s First Watch,’ the travel plan, and documents for the guide, necessary for setting up the game,” the museum representative told PenzaNews agency.

According to him, the adventure game tour allows participants to learn more about the city, its history and culture through active engagement.

“The team quest involves every tour member in solving problems to move along the route, turning it into a competition. The tour also requires costumed actors (Thomas ‘The Rhymer’ Learmonth and the others), includes various tasks such as map location, deciphering the code on a memorial plaque, solving riddles, a flashmob, and so forth,” the agency interlocutor said.

He added that this package was designed for domestic travel agencies, museums, tour guides and re-education programs.
