Penza, 24 December 2014. PenzaNews. “World of Penza society classes” exposition may become the basis for the future museum of the family, the idea of which has long been discussed in Penza, said Evgeny Shilov, head of culture and archive of the region, during the official opening of a new exposition at Ulyanov Museum on Wednesday, December 24.

“There have been various proposals on how to use these premises. In the end, we decided on the creation of the exposition dedicated to Penza families. And this idea was implemented,” he said.
According to Evgeny Shilov, the exposition is primarily addressed to the students, who will be interested to learn about the history of their native city.
“There will be interactive tours with music, cuisine, games, fortune telling. I think this is an exciting project,” the head of culture and archive of the Penza region said.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, exposition “World of Penza society classes: Family and Life of the 19-20th centuries” in Ulyanov Museum has rich material base, portraits, photographs, museum still life interiors, and specially made equipment allows us to feel the flavor of the era.
Visitors will see a peasant hut with a stove and noble living room, a fragment of the merchant house interior and priestly vestments.
This is a high-tech exposition compared to others based in a museum. The exposition has two multimedia information booths that complement and refine materials of the exposition. It is equipped with sound technology — the exposition will be accompanied by Penza songs, tunes of folk musical instruments.
The collection also has interactive exhibits that can be touched.
