Penza, 6 February 2015. PenzaNews. The opening of the exposition of the Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Herman Karpov was held in Savitsky Penza Regional Art Gallery on Friday, February 6.

The event devoted to the 75th anniversary of the artist, gathered his colleagues, friends and family.

The first to congratulated the artist was Mikhail Makarov, chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, who wished him health and creative longevity.

“It is very pleasing and joyful: the event is significant for the life of our city and the region. Personal anniversary exposition of a remarkable artist. Herman Karpov is, probably, famous not only among the artists. He has been painting for a long time, and most importantly, he paints from the everyday life. Almost all the best quiet little places of our Penza are depicted in his pictures,” he said, thanking the artist for his work.

After that, Mikhail Makarov awarded Herman Karpov with an honorary sign of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region for his great contribution to the cultural life of the region.

Then Evgeny Shilov, head of the regional department of culture and the archive, took turn to speak.

“The artist not only pleases us with his creative works, but is actively helping people to experience the beauty in something ordinary,” the head of the department said, speaking about the well equipped by Herman Karpov.
