“The new album of the band, that will be celebrating 35 years in action this year, is significant for its lightness, youth and spiritual richness. It has already won the Album of the Year’ award from ‘Chart Dozen’ show at ‘Nashe radio’,” Lyubov Sheykina, representative of the DDT Volga Federal District tour organizing committee, told PenzaNews agency.
She added that Penza residents will hear 14 new songs, including a classical-sounding “Life is beautiful,” a lyrical “Sun Dancing,” a sarcastic “Reality,” and “Pogrom” which has already become very popular.
It is expected that the technical part of the performance, including sound and lighting effects that will help the audience to feel the atmosphere of the album, will be paid special attention this year, a traditional feature of many concerts of the band.
The “DDT” band last visited Penza in November 2012, bringing along an enormous equipment set for a bright performance.
The concert program “Inache” [Differently] took place at the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel-Arena” and lasted several hours.
During their performance, Yuri Shevchuk said that the day before the concert he met with Bishop Veniamin, and then decided to donate his personal concert earnings to the construction of the Spassky cathedral in Penza, which is still ongoing.
