Penza, 2 April 2015. PenzaNews. A collection of documents, titled “M. Lermontov: Artistic heritage and contemporary theatrical culture. 1941-2014,” has been donated to the Penza Regional Library by the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art.

The collection contains archival documents and visuals mostly related to Moscow theater performances of the works of Mikhail Lermontov.

Among the materials are notes of directors and actors, transcripts of performance discussions, speeches of literary and theater critics, and audience feedback and criticism letters.

Each document is accompanied by factual commentary and an annotated index of names.

The collection also includes a unique set of 152 rare archival images, says the press service of the Penza region Department of Culture and the Archive.
