Penza, 29 April 2015. PenzaNews. The organizers of the 6th International glassmaking art and sculpture are almost ready for the event that will be held in the Nikolsk town of the Penza region on May 5-15.

The event will involve over 20 world-level art masters who had their works presented in the best museums of the world, the Distinguished Artist of Russia Alexander Fokin told PenzaNews agency.

“Among them are Jiri Suhajek, revered master of hot-glass blowing and artist of ‘Mozer’ glass factory; Casimir Pavlak, professor, head tutor of the Vroclav Academy; Patrik Illo, head designer of ‘Rona,’ the top glass enterprise of Slovakia; Robert Emeringer, who organizes European glassworks festivals; Yulia Merzlikina, associate professor and head of the Glassworks department of the Stroganov Academy, associate of the Russian Academy of Arts,” said the speaker.

The official opening ceremony will be held at the Nikolsk town business incubator at 15.00 of Tuesday, May 5.

The artists will be working on their projects in the Nikolsk glassworks cluster enterprises on May 6-14.

The international symposium will end on May 15 with an exhibition of works made at the event.

The symposium is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture together with the Center of Cluster Development.
