Penza “Tarkhany” to hold interactive entertainment events on “Night of Arts”
Penza, 27 October 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region “Tarkhany” State Museum-Reserve will join the Russian campaign “Night of Arts” on Tuesday, November 3.
An interactive guided tour “Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. Poet. Patriot. Citizen” will begin in the exhibition hall of the museum complex at 19.00. The guided tour, dedicated to the life and literary works of the writer, will feature exhibits on all stages of the poet’s life, from birth to death, in a single space.
The literary and musical performance “Joy With Tears Upon Our Eyes” will begin at 20.00. It is a one-man play about the story and the aspirations of a mother who sent all her sons to the warfront, with none coming back. It will be expanded with poems and songs written by the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, performed by the folk song ensemble of the “Tarkhany” museum.
The “Night of Arts” will be accompanied by a social media campaign in Twitter, Facebook, VK.com, Odnoklassniki, Instagram and Google+ accounts of the museum dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia. It will focus on such works of Mikhail Lermontov as the novel “A Hero of Our Time,” the drama “Masquerade,” poems “Mtsyri” and “Valerik.”
The social media campaign will accompany the one in real life with regularly published excerpts from these works of literature and their screen adaptations released in the Soviet Union, along with photos of unique old-style publications and trivia.
