Penza, 8 November 2015. PenzaNews. The presentation of the book “Holidays and Memorable Dates of the Penza Land” will take place on Tuesday, November 10, in the Belinsky Central City Public Library, as part of the project “Writer in Library” and a group of meetings “Faces and Images.”

The visitors of the presentation will learn about the emergence and implementation of the book’s idea, followed by authors’ readings of the poems included in the book.

“The value of this almanac lies in it being a poetic calendar of sorts. It reflects the secular, religious and national celebrations of the major nationalities in the Penza region, memorial dates for our prominent compatriots, and poems dedicated to them by Penza poets of many generations,” the Penza Department of Culture and Archive commented for PenzaNews agency.

The author and compiler of the book is Lidia Terekhina, member of the Union of Writers of Russia, while Vera Feygina, chairman of the Penza region department for the Union and head of the local culture department, helped as its executive editor, they added.
