Children’s film festival “Book Lives On Screen” to take place in Penza

Penza, 20 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza regional library for children and young adults will hold the children’s film festival “Book Lives On Screen” on January 8-10.
The event will be dedicated to the upcoming year of 2016, the Year of Cinema in Russia.
The first day of the festival will proceed under the motto “Chidren’s Films Day.” From 14.00 to 15.00, the festival audience will learn about the history of children’s films, how they are made, and how the young actors take part in the filming, during the education program “Camera! Action!” Moreover, from 15.00 to 16.00 the guests will learn about the history of the famous Russian junior sketch show “Yeralash” and watch the show’s winter videoreel.
From 11.00 to 12.00 of January 9, the guests will be able to take part in the showing and discussion of the fairy tale film “Morozko” during the session of the film club “24 Frames.” Later on, the festival will host a quiz show about the film “The Twelve Months” at 12.00, and a filmstrip showing “Book Protagonists On Screen” at 13.00.
On the last day of the festival, January 10, the library will open the art studio “Book. Art. Film,” which will organize a video lecture session “Magic Screen” at 13.00, and a workshop “Drawing the Film” dedicated to “The New Year Adventures of Masha and Vitya” at 14.00-15.00. The festival will conclude with the award ceremony in the contest “Best in Children’s Film Trivia,” says the website of the Penza regional library for children and young adults.
