In a welcoming word to the audience, Tatyana Kurdova, head of the Penza region Department of Culture and Archive, recapped the festival agenda.
According to her, this festival, while being only the first one, already became international, as it brought together both Russian and foreign organists.
The first performer was Gianlucca Libertucci, organist of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican, professor at the Conservatory of Music in Venice. He presented a program “Music of Vatican” which included songs by Spanish, Italian, German and French composers. Some of them were played at the organ scene of the Philharmonic Hall for the first time.
