Children and youth books festival planned in Penza

Penza, 4 March 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza regional children and youth library will hold the children and youth books festival from March 15 to April 2.

The event, titled “Kind World of Favorite Books,” will open with stage performances “What Wonder Are Those Tales...” and “Wonders and Mysteries of Hogwarts,” as well as an online meetup with a young adult novel writer Andrei Zhvalevsky.
During the festival, fans of reading will be able to visit the Gallery of Writers to learn more about the works of renown Russian and foreign writers, such as Mikhail Zoschenko, Mikhail Prishvin, Pavel Bazhov, Elena Khrustaleva, Rudyard Kipling, Alan Miln and the Grimm brothers.
On March 23-29, the library will hold educational reading sessions, featuring eco-hiking trips and historical journeys across the Penza region.
Later on, March 30 will be marked by the opening of the book illustration workshop studio.
The festival will conclude on International Children’s Book Day with a literary performance “Hans Christian Andersen, The Wizard From Copenhagen,” says the press service of the Department of Culture and Archive of the Penza region.
