Penza, 29 March 2016. PenzaNews. The Savitsky Penza Picture Gallery has applied for the federal target program “Culture of Russia (Years 2012-2018).”

The cultural institution seeks to participate in the federal program in 2017 with a project “Procurement and Installation of Automatic Fire Extinguishing System in Museum Depositories.”

The project in question aims to ensure safe storage conditions in the picture gallery depositories that house paintings, drawings, sculptures and crafts made between 17th and 21st centuries, which constitute a share of the Russian cultural heritage.

Even with financial assistance from the regional budget, the museum would not be able to buy the expensive equipment on its own, while the federal program allows to resolve the problem, says the web portal “Museums of the Penza Region.”
