Penza, 10 April 2016. PenzaNews. A mobile exhibition “Penza And Space” has opened at the regional state museum of local lore on Sunday, April 10.

The display dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the first manned space flight tells about the contribution of Penza citizens to the process of space exploration.

In particular, the exhibition tells about the life and work of Ilya Usykin, Petr Dolgorukov, Alexei Ryzhov, Victor Patsaev, and Alexader Samokutyaev.

Also, the visitors will be able to learn more about the work of “Penzakhimmash” staff that created the launch site for the spaceship “Vostok” that launched the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gararin into space.

The exhibition will work at the local lore museum on April 10-14, followed by a presentation in the school No. 56 on April 15, says the website “Museums of the Penza Region.”
