First folk ensemble festival “Penza Khorovod” scheduled on June 18-19
Penza, 2 June 2016. PenzaNews. Penza will hold its first open interregional folk ensemble festival “Penza Khorovod” on June 18-19.

Reportedly, it will bring together singing and dancing ensembles and individual performers from Moscow, Saratov, Samara and Penza.
The festival will be spread over two platforms.
During the two days of the festival, the square by the Penza regional Philharmonic Hall will host a sing and dance marathon.
Moreover, on May 18, the main stage of the Philharmonic Hall will hold scheduled performances of Marta Serebryakova and the ethnic musical ensemble “Gubernia,” the Russian ethnic musical ensemble “Miryane,” Natalya Mescheryakova and the ensemble “Zlato-Serebro,” the Saratov ethnic music ensemble “Balagan,” and the Moscow folk ensemble “Partizan FM.”
Also, the closing ceremony of the festival will feature performances by ensembles “Stargorod,” “Kazachya Zastava” and “Volnitsa,” the ethnic song theater “Dobro,” and the Samara distinguished children’s folk song ensemble “Dobryashki.”
In addition, the festival will hold a roundtable discussion on cultural experience exchange between the ensembles, a Russian folk song workshop, and additional exhibitions, says the press service of “Penzaconcert.”
