Penza, 16 August 2016. PenzaNews. On September 14, Penza Lunacharsky Regional Drama Theater opens 224th season with a premiere of a benefit performance by the artistic director Sergei Kazakov “The Cabal of Hypocrites” based on the play by Mikhail Bulgakov.

The first show of the comic tragedy will take place in two acts on the big stage at 18.30.

Actors will present the story of a French playwright and actor Jean Moliere played by Sergey Kazakov. This is a story of creativity, power and irresistible force of destiny set in the scenery of the era of Louis XIV.

The play is directed by the famous Moscow director Irina Keruchenko specifically for the 50th anniversary of the artistic director of the Penza Drama Theater.
