Penza, 20 February 2017. PenzaNews. About 85% of cultural objects in the Penza region require renovation and reconstruction. This was reported by the minister of culture and tourism Tatyana Kurdova at the operational meeting that was held in the regional government on Monday, February 20.

“The project ‘Local culture centre’ realized by the party "United Russia" in 2017 will allow repairing seven objects and strengthening the material and technical resources of 20 local cultural establishments. 22.3 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the realization of this project," she said.

The minister added that the Penza region budget provides 2.4 million rubles for co-financing of these activities.

"It is important that municipal budgets also provide funds totaling 2.7 million rubles," Tatyana Kurdova emphasized.

She specified that the project is designed for three years.

"It is planned that as a result, we will be able to reduce the number of objects requiring repairs, and to improve the material and technical resources," she summed up.
