Penza, 29 March 2017. PenzaNews. The stationary exhibition "Proud sons of Fatherland" dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 will be opened in the local history museum on Friday, April 7.

As the institution of culture told PenzaNews, chronologically, the exposition covers the period from the 17th to 19th century.

"The exhibition presents elements of the uniform of the Russian army of the 18th century, as well as medals, documents from the collection of the museum and the State archive of the Penza region, books, and portraits of fellow citizens whose names entered the history of the Russo-Turkish wars," the museum specified.

The institution added that the exhibition will be open till September.

Installation of the exposition, which is located in a hallway of the second floor, was finished on Tuesday, March 28.
