Penza, 22 July 2017. PenzaNews. Participants of the 8th rural Sabantuy, which brought together representatives of different regions, nationalities and religions in Srednyay Elyuzan of the Penza region, got acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Tatars.

In the courtyards of the areas of the Penza region and Tatarstan, everyone could try national cuisine, learn more about traditional crafts, songs, and dances.

The guests were particularly impressed by chack-chack weighing 100 kilograms, presented in the courtyard of the Gorodischensky area. Many visitors of the holiday rushed to take pictures with the candy of the impressive size.

Izbas, tents, marquees offered visitors food and entertainment for different flavor.

In addition, within the framework of Sabantuy national contests were organized, including Koresh wrestling.

Horse racing competitions became a culmination of the celebration. The honored guests, the governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev and the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, were watching them.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, the total area designated for the all-Russian rural Sabantuy in Srednyay Elyuzan is 30 hectares.
