Penza, 18 October 2017. PenzaNews. In 2017 the Penza region will receive over 3,570,000 roubles from the federal budget for support of creative activities and equipment of children's and puppet theatres.

The order of the Russian Federation government that approved the allocation of 220 million roubles between 73 regions was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

As stated in the explanatory note, it was the first time such state support was provided to constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The subsidies were allocated to co-finance expenditure commitments on support of children's and puppet theatres within the state programme "Culture and tourism development" for 2013-2020.

The measure is expected to create additional conditions for improvement of a state support system in the field of culture and art.
