Penza, 29 November 2017. PenzaNews. The event "Earth is empty now, without you" devoted to the memory of the opera singer Dmitry Khvorostovsky was held in Penza in the city complex centre of urgent social assistance to the population on Tuesday, November 28.

It was attended by elderly people and the disabled registered in the social rehabilitation unit.

"During the event, the guests became familiar with Dmitry Khvorostovsky's life and work. Famous arias from the operas "The Queen of Spades", "Iolanta", the love song "The Black Eyes", the songs of war years "Cranes" ("Zhuravli"), "On the Unnumbered Hill", the song "Moscow Nights", which Dmitry Khvorostovsky performed together with Anna Netrebko, and of course one of his latest songs "A Minute of Silence" were played, the department explained.
